Discipline: Marathon and middle-distance running
Born: Venice, October 11, 1988

Giovanna began running in middle school with the Venezia Runners Atletica Murano. She wore the colours of the Gruppo Sportivo Forestale for the first time in 2007. In 2013 she moved from her native Venice to Legnano to be coached by Ruggero Grassi. She has been coached by Giorgio Rondelli since 2017 and has been competing in the colours of the Centro Sportivo Carabinieri. On several occasions she’s worn the blue jersey of the Italian National Team and, in 2020, she became an Italian marathon champion. She fulfilled her dreams in 2021 by participating in the 2020 Olympic marathon in Tokyo.
