Discipline: Cycling
Born: Faenza, January 1, 1961

As a professional road cyclist, Davide Cassani won two stages at the Giro d'Italia, two time trials at the Tour de France, and wore the Azzurra jersey several times as "the race director". As a television commentator for Rai, he has become the voice of Italian cycling over the years.
He’s been the CT of the Italian National Road Cycling Team since 2014. After leading the team to several prestigious titles, he closed out 2021 with the second consecutive triumph of Filippo Ganna in the World Time Trial, and the fourth consecutive European Championship on the road, this time thanks to Sonny Colbrelli. These successes are the result of years of meticulous preparation with the support of Enervit Science, official sponsor of the National Team.
Under the management of Linus, he’s part of the winning team of the DeeJay Training Center, the program supported by Enervit. The broadcast has become a fan favourite of "sport for those who do it", that is the fans of fatigue and active fun. The program is aired on Radio DeeJay every Sunday at 12 o'clock.
Author of several books on cycling, Cassani is now regarded as an authority of reference in the Italian cycling movement.
