Virtus Pallacanestro is one of the biggest clubs in Italian basketball. The official founding year is 1927; the first of 16 national titles came in 1945. The team has filled its arena with proud fans for decades. Its trophy case overflows with victories. In addition to 16 Italian titles, 8 Italian Cups, and two Super Cups, the team has also racked up wins in the international arena in two editions of the Euroleague, 1998 and 2001, in the 1990 Winners' Cup, in the 2009 Eurochallenge, and finally in the 2019 Basketball Champions League.
