Damiano Lenzi wore his first pair of skis as a child, a passion that he pursued until the age of 21 competing for the national team. He then found new inspiration approaching ski mountaineering, and in 2008 he joined the national team. In 2011 he finished first in the Skyrace at Aosta-Becca di Nona, leading since the start of the race. In August 2012 the ski mountaineering national won a medal in the 24th Stellina Challenge. In 2013 he won the "Trofeo Mezzalama", one of the most important international ski mountaineering competitions held on the glaciers between Monte Cervino and Monte Rosa. An incredible thrill, a race that everyone would like to win. In March 2013 he finished first in the Vertical Race of the Ski Mountaineering World Cup in Andorra. That same summer Damiano won the Stelvio Men's Cycling Tour. Again that summer summer of 2013 he ends in first place at the King Stelvio Mapei and second at the AS Granfondo Du Mont Blanc (Lungo) cycling races. At the beginning of March 2014, in France, he won the "Vertical Race" World Cup and the bronze medal at the 19th edition of the Sellaronda Skimarathon, a competition with over 1200 athletes on four Dolomite passes Gardena, Sella, Campolongo and Pordoi . At the beginning of May 2014 he won the "Grande Course" with his teammates, a trophy held every other year that includes the most prestigious races in the world, one of the most iconic ski mountaineering competitions and among the most prestigious and important sporting events of the ski alp panorama at the European level. In April 2014 the army athlete won the ski mountaineering Overall World Cup, after having won the Vertical World Cup in the past. In January 2014 he won the Vertical Race, an ISMF World Cup circuit event in Courchevel. In 2015 he finished in third place in the Vertical ski mountaineering World Cup. He came in first place at the “Grande Course” and Pierra Menta with his teammate Matteo Eydallin and again in first place at the Mezzalama Trophy with Matteo Eydallin and Michele Boscacci. In 2017 he came first at the “Trofeo Mezzalama” with his teammates Matteo Eydallin and Michele Boscacci.
