Marathon

 

Stefano Baldini, born in Castelnovo di Sotto (RE) on May 25th, 1971, inextricably linked his name to the Olympic victory on the magical afternoon of August 29th, 2004, in Athens. Also in his honors list: a European Cup victory in the 10,000 meters (1995), 2 European marathon titles (1998 and 2006), a half marathon World title (1996), 2 bronzes at the Marathon World Championships (2001 and 2003) and 13 Italian titles.

He is currently Technical Director for the youth sector of the Italian Athletics Federation and sports ambassador for Enervit, where he is also member of the Board of Directors.

He published several successful titles, such as "Quelli che corrono" (Mondadori, 2007) and "Maratona per tutti" (Mondadori 2009). He collaborates as a commentator with Fox Sports for the Diamond League athletics and broadcasts along with Linus and Davide Cassani, on Radio Deejay, a radio program dedicated to sport people, "Deejay Training Center".
